The Commission on Elections-Davao Region (Comelec-11) on Monday reported processing 107,069 voter applications since October 2025.

Comelec-11 Assistant Director Gay Enumerables said the data include new registrations, transfers, reactivations and correction of entries.

She urged first-time voters, particularly those aged 15 to 17 who are eligible for the Sangguniang Kabataan elections, to register before the May 18 deadline. Comelec teams have visited senior high schools to encourage participation.

“We have registration in our offices and satellite sites in barangays and malls,” Enumerables said at a press briefing here.

Enumerables said failure to vote twice may result in deactivation. Comelec-11 offices are open Mondays to Saturdays, including holidays, from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.

The election period for the Barangay and Sangguniang Kabataan Elections, slated Nov. 2, begins on Sept. 28 with the filing of candidacy that will end Oct. 5.

The campaign period will be on Oct. 22 to 31, while the filing of campaign contribution statements is due Dec. 2.

Elected officials will begin their terms on Dec. 1. (PNA)
