The provincial government of Misamis Occidental has reported significant achievements this year, citing its “5Ms” framework as a driving force behind its economic and social development initiatives.<\/p>\n
In a statement Tuesday, Governor Henry Oaminal Sr. said the 5Ms \u2014Matinahuron (respectful), Matinud-anon (truthful), Matinabangon (helpful), Maligdong (upright), and Mahigugmaon (loving)\u2014fostered a collective effort to advance the province\u2019s economic and social service agenda.<\/p>\n
\u201cThis year, we have seen remarkable strides in improving our communities, strengthening our economy, and enhancing the quality of life for all Misamisnons,\u201d Oaminal said.<\/p>\n
Among the key achievements under Oaminal\u2019s administration this year is infrastructure development worth more than PHP3 billion, including multipurpose facilities, road concreting, and water system projects.<\/p>\n
These efforts also support improvements in tourism, healthcare, and education.<\/p>\n
The province\u2019s free hospitalization program has provided assistance to 42,000 individuals, while the Asenso Misamis Occidental Medical Center is 70 percent complete and expected to open next year.<\/p>\n
In agriculture, the Asenso Rice Farmers Full Assistance program has significantly boosted rice production, achieving an average yield of 5.3 metric tons per hectare.<\/p>\n
Additionally, the Asenso Pamilya: One Family, One Professional program has supported 2,862 beneficiaries, resulting in 343 graduates.<\/p>\n
